This month's roundup of Boston hires, departures, promotions and appointments includes moves made across bigger and small companies, as well as venture capital firms and large corporations that play in the innovation space.
• Sigma Prime Ventures appointed Andrew Rollins as a venture partner. Rollins was a co-founder and former chief software architect at Localytics.
• Confirm.io added four members to its advisory board: Dickson Chu, who's held leadership roles at Citi, PayPal and Yahoo; Mike Shim, a former VP at Groupon and advisor at Pinterest; Hill Ferguson, former SVP at PayPal and CEO at Doctors on Demand; Ryan Cox, VP at DocuSign; and Bob Eckel, CEO at MorphoTrust USA.
• Teikametrics, a Boston-based startup focused on software for third-party Amazon seller, hired Andy Coughlin as its CRO. Coughlin was formerly the country director of Sonos and will remain a partner at Converge Venture Partners.
• DataGravity, a data security startup in Nashua, N.H,. hired Becky Zehr as its CFO. She was previously the CFO of Boston-based OneCloud Software.
• MassMutual hired Jennifer Halloran, one of the leaders behind Fidelity’s Innovation Lab branding, as its head of brand and advertising. She was also head of marketing for two years at Mobiquity.
• Founder Collective brought Parul Singh back on as a principal after taking a break from the VC firm to start her own company, Gradeable. She first joined Founder Collective as an associate.
• David Brown left his role as VP of innovation leadership at the Boston Chamber of Commerce. His next move hasn’t been shared yet.
• MassChallenge hired Siobhan Dullea as its new COO. She was previously chief growth officer at The Grommet. She was also a founding member of C Space.
• Disruptor Beam, a Framingham-based video game developer, hired Andy Rappaport as its chief data officer. Rappaport was most recently with ABILITY Network.
• Catalant hired Shirley Paley as its general counsel. She was previously with Demandware.
• Unigma hired Matthew Albritton as its VP of sales. He was previously with Exact, Greater Intell, Kaseya and CA Technologies.
• Boston’s very own Dan Primack left Fortune to join a news startup with the co-founders of Politico, Jim VandeHei and columnist Mike Allen. Primack was the author of Fortune’s Term Sheet newsletter, which is now written by Fortune’s Erin Griffith.
• Ascent Venture Partners hired Baiyin Zhou as a senior associate. She was previously with OpenView Ventures.
• New York-based Bridge Growth Partners appointed Joseph M. Tucci as its new Chairman. He was formerly CEO of EMC and chairman of VMWare.
• Former Clypd CTO Joel Melby joined New York-based OUTFRONT Media as its CTO.
• New Hampshire-based Dyn hired Colin Doherty, a former executive at BTI Systems and Arbor Networks, as its CEO. He replaces Dyn founder Jeremy Hitchcock, who stepped down in May.
• TiE-Boston hired Laura Teicher as its executive director. She was previously president of Net Impact Boston.
• Pwnie Express appointed Bill Swanson, former CEO of Raytheon, to its board of directors.
• Rapid7 promoted Andrew Burton to COO. He was previously SVP of IT Search after his startup, Logentries, was acquired by the company.
• Boston Business Journal hired Kelly J. O’Brien, previously an associate editor at Boston.com, as a tech reporter. He replaces Sara Castellanos, who now works at The Wall Street Journal.
• Curata appointed Mark Roberge, former HubSpot chief revenue officer, to its advisory board.
• German tech giant Software AG hired Boston-based Jennifer Smith as its CMO. She was previously CMO at Globoforce and Avid Technology.
• Cambridge startup CollegeVine appointed two tech executive: Harvard Business School professor Deepak Malhotra as a board member and iSpecimen CTO Doug Williams as a tech advisor.
• Third Rock Ventures, a Boston VC firm focused on biotech companies, named Abbie Celniker, former CEO of portfolio company Eleven Biotherapeutics, as its first-ever female partner.
